Boston Celtics will take on the Miami Heat in Tuesday’s action of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The hosts failed to win in front of their fans in the previous match, and they want to bounce back. The away side got back the home-court advantage, and they look forward to making another break in this tie.
Boston could not capitalize on its victory in Miami in Game 2, and they will search for improvement in this one. If they lose again in front of their fans, the home side will be in big trouble. On the other hand, Miami managed to celebrate on the road on Saturday evening and take the lead in the series. The visitors will try to move the tie back home with an advantage.
Boston Celtics – Can they level the tie?
The Celtics boosted their confidence with an away win in the second match of this series, but they couldn’t continue in the same fashion at home. They suffered a 109-103 defeat on Saturday evening, and they need to chase the opponent’s advantage again. Boston was 21 points down already after the first quarter in Game 3, and it was tough for them to get back in the match. Although the Celtics lowered the rival’s lead, they couldn’t do much to prevent a defeat. Interestingly, their field goal percentage was better than Miami’s, but Boston made 24 turnovers, which is too much for this stage.
Jayson Tatum is still the most efficient player for the Celtics in the playoffs, with 28.2 points, six assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. Jaylen Brown is also in the 20s with 22.5 pts per match, followed by 6.9 rebs, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals, while Marcus Smart contributes to Boston’s offense with 15.8 points and a team-high 6.7 assists. Al Horford tops the rebounds charts with 8.8 and produces 12.8 pts, while Grant Williams averages 11.3 points per contest. On the other hand, Robert Williams III joined Sam Hauser on the list of unavailable players.
Expected Line-Up: Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Daniel Theis

Miami Heat – Will they book another road win?
The Heat bounced back after losing Game 2 at home and returned the home-court advantage. They controlled the game from the very start, after an excellent first quarter. Although they let Boston get closer, Miami secured their lead and celebrated a deserved victory. The opponents helped them a lot with a high number of turnovers, while the Heat made just nine on Saturday evening. However, the Heat was inferior in the paint, with ten rebounds less than the Celtics, and also had a lower field goal percentage.
Jimmy Butler has been the most productive player for the Heat in the post-season, with 28.21 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.2 steals per match. Bam Adebayo scores 14.9 pts and has a team-high 7.7 rebs for Miami, while Tyler Herro averages 13.5 points. Max Strus contributes to Miami’s offense with 12.2 pts, while Victor Oladipo is another player with a double-digit number of points. However, the Heat have a pretty long list of questionable players. Besides P.J. Tucker, Kyle Lowry, and Max Strus, the biggest concern would be the potential absence of Jimmy Butler.
Expected Line-Up: Victor Oladipo, Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo
Expert Pick #1 – Miami Heat +6 @-110
Miami is banged up with injuries, but the visitors have more depth in their roster. Smart and Tatum might also have some injury troubles, and since Boston relies on these two players a lot, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Heat covers the spread again. Therefore, I’ll back them as my first pick.
Expert Pick #2 – Under 207.5 @-110
This is another clash of the two defensively solid teams, and their most efficient players might have injury issues in this game. Although the margin in the totals market is pretty low, I don’t think these two teams will produce more than 207 points in total. Give me the Under as the second bet.
Expert Pick #3 – Boston Celtics Under 106.5 @-105
The Heat might keep their rivals under a 106.5 margin again, and I anticipate a very tight game. Although the odds are a bit higher than for the first two selections, this will be my third pick for this matchup.
