San Antonio Spurs will take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday’s action of the NBA 2021-22. The hosts want to pick up where they left off and celebrate another important victory. The away side also enjoys a victorious streak which they wish to extend.
San Antonio is back in the playoffs race, and they look forward to continuing in the same fashion. They return home after four straight outings and hope to maintain a high level of their performances. On the other hand, Memphis is one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The visitors are in excellent form, and they wish it to last a little longer.
San Antonio Spurs – Can they continue the battle for the playoffs?
The Spurs managed to keep their post-season hopes alive after celebrating four wins in a row. They booked all four wins away from home, and they now return to their court full of confidence. San Antonio is fourth in the Southwest Division with a 31-44 record, having the same record as the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference. The Spurs booked a 123-120 win away to the Houston Rockets in their most recent game, where Dejounte Murray scored 33 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.
Dejounte Murray leads the Spurs’ offense with 21 points, 9.3 assists, 8.3 rebounds, and two steals per game on average. Keldon Johnson has produced 16.6 pts, 6.1 rebs, and a pair of assists per contest, while Jakob Poeltl dominates the paint with 9.3 rebounds, followed by 13.5 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks. Regarding the selection issues, San Antonio cannot count on Lonnie Walker IV and Romeo Langford.

Memphis Grizzlies – Will they extend their winning streak?
Unlike their opponents, the Grizzlies have already secured their place in the post-season. They are the second-best team in the Western Conference with a 53-23 record while enjoying excellent form lately. Memphis booked five straight wins and lost only once on the previous ten occasions. They go to this one after a comfortable 123-95 win over the Golden State Warriors. Memphis controlled the paint well, logging 52 rebounds, while Desmond Bane led them to success with 22 points, three assists, two rebounds, and two steals for 27 minutes on the court.
Ja Morant is one of the most productive players in the NBA, with 27.6 points, 6.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per match on average. Desmond Bane contributes with 18.2 pts, 4.5 rebs, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals, while Dillon Brooks produces 18 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Steven Adams tops the rebounds charts with ten per contest while having 7.1 pts per match. On the other hand, the Grizzlies still cannot count on Ja Morant and Killian Tillie, while Jaren Jackson Jr. is listed as questionable.
Expected Line-Up: Tyus Jones, Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson, Steven Adams
Expert Pick #1 – San Antonio Spurs +5.5 @-110
This is a clash of the two in-form teams, and I’ll take chances to back the home side to cover the number here. Although the Grizzlies have been pretty dominant lately, it is a very important match for the Spurs, as the victory would see them entering the post-season zone. I’ll take San Antonio ATS as my first pick.
Expert Pick #2 – Under 234 @-110
Both teams have been involved in low-scoring matches recently, and the Under cashed four times in the Spurs’ last five and the Grizzlies’ previous six games. This one shouldn’t be much different, and I’ll back the Under as my second bet.
Expert Pick #3 – Grizzlies Under 119.5 @-110
Memphis still cannot count on their most productive player, and San Antonio should take advantage of that to keep them under a 119.5 margin. The Grizzlies couldn’t cross that margin in the previous five clashes against the Spurs, and I’ll take this as my third pick at the same odds as the first two.
