Green Bay Packers and New York Jets will face each other in the Week 2 of the NFL preseason at Lambeau Field on Saturday afternoon. The home side heads to this clash after a 26-7 defeat against the Houston Texans in the first week of the NFL preseason. On the other hand, the visitors were better against New York Giants.
The Packers had another excellent campaign in the regular season last time, finishing at the top of NFC North, with a 13-3 record. They had the same record in the 2019 season and accomplished the same continuity. However, the Packers were just one step away from the Super Bowl, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers stopped them in the semi-finals of the playoffs. On the other hand, after finishing 7-9 in 2019, the Jets had a terrible last season and a 2-14 record.

Green bay Packers – Can they book their first preseason victory?
The Packers didn’t shine in their first preseason match, losing to Houston Texans 26-7, and they will look forward to bouncing back in this one. Quarterback Jordan Love made his debut for the Packers in that match and had an excellent start. He went 12-17 for 122 yards and a touchdown but got injured in the second quarter. However, it doesn’t look too serious, but he’s still doubtful for the upcoming clash.
Love’s injury left Kurt Benkert throwing for 88 yards and an INT on 8-12. WR Devin Funchess put a pretty good display, leading the Packers’ receivers with six catches for 70 yards. Patrick Taylor had nine carries for 22 yards, while Dexter Williams had 32 rushing yards. Looking into the Packers’ defensive record, we find Oren Burks leading the team with seven tackles, two tackles for a loss, and a sack. Kabion Ento had an interception, while Vernin Scott had four solo tackles out of the total six. Green Bay Packers had a hard time running a ball against the Texans last time, but regardless, their quarterbacks might be effective. Looking at the betting trends, the Packers were 11-7 against the spread in the 2020 season overall. They are also 6-4 ATS in their previous ten games played at the home ground.

New York Jets– Will they pick up where they left off?
The Jets put a very solid defensive performance last time in their 12-7 victory over New York Giants, and they want to build on that performance. New York Jets got five sacks, forced a safety, and recovered a fumble. The individual defensive performances show that Jamien Sherwood and Hamilcar Rashed Jr. had four total tackles each, while the latter added 1.5 sacks. Bryce Huff also added a pair of sacks. On the other hand, quarterback Zach Wilson didn’t spend much time on the pitch, but he did well by sustaining 22 plays on two drives. He had 63 yards on 6-9, while Mike White threw for 127 yards on 13-19. Despite the limited action, James Morgan threw 45 yards on 5-9. La’Micah Perine took 12 carries for 30 yards and a TD, while Ty Johnson turned nine carries into 33 rushing yards.
Denzel Mims had three grabs for 51 yards from the receiving group, and Vyncint Smith ended the match with three catches for 39 yards. The betting trends weren’t in the Jets’ favor last season, as they are 2-6 against the spread on the road. They also managed to beat the spread as favorites only once on the previous seven occasions. The Jets’ team seems to be improved compared to last season, but we’ll still see if it is good enough for significantly better results.
Expected Line-Up (Offense): Tevin Coleman, Corey Davis, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, Chris Herndon, Mekhi Becton, Dan Feeney, Connor McGovern, Greg Van Roten, George Fant
Expected Line-Up (Defense): Carl Lawson, Sheldon Rankins, Folorunso Fatukasi, John Franklin-Myers, Hamsah Nasirildeen, C.J. Mosley, Jarrad Davis, Bless Austin, Lamarcus Joyner, Marcus Maye, Bryce Hall
Quarter Back: Zach Wilson
Kicker: Matt Ammendola

Expert Pick #1 – Green Bay Packers +2.5 @-110
The Packers might put an improved performance here, being a playoffs team from the last season. They face a non-playoff team, and I expect to see a tight game here. Historically, the home underdogs usually do well at their ground in preseason games, and I believe we’ll see the same pattern here. Therefore, the major pick is the Packers +2.5 at the -110 odds.
Expert Pick #2 – Under 34 @-110
I don’t expect to see too much of an attacing action from both sides. The Jets will look forward to preserving Williams as much as possible, while the Packers won’t risk more QB injuries after Love. The under 34 is my first alternative pick, and it might bring a good value.
Expert Pick #3 – Packers to Win by 1-6 margin @+325
I’m going to try with a long shot here. The Packers might win this match, but I don’t see them beating the Jets by more than six points since it should be a tight encounter. If you like high-odds bets, this one is worth a try.
