Los Angeles Chargers will meet Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL 2021 Week 11 clash on Sunday evening. Both sides are in the chase for a post-season spot and will search for a victory in this one. The hosts have been inconsistent lately, while the away side hasn’t suffered a defeat on the previous five occasions.
Los Angeles cannot be satisfied with its recent form, as they lost three times in the last four rounds. Nevertheless, the home side is still in a good position to secure the playoffs ticket. On the other hand, Pittsburgh has been in a much better momentum lately, and they got back into the playoffs race. The visitors want to continue their unbeatable run after this match as well.
Los Angeles Chargers – Can they stabilize their game?
The Chargers suffered a 27-20 defeat against the Vikings at home last time, and they want to bounce back with a win and continue the battle for the top spot in the division. They are currently second in the AFC West with a 5-4 record, being one win behind the Chiefs. Although the hosts have been very good in the offense this season, they have had defensive issues recently. Los Angeles allowed 20+ points in each of the previous five matches, and they need to address those problems. They allowed 381 yards to Minnesota last weekend while gaining only 253 yards in the offense.
The Chargers’ starting quarterback Justin Herbert has passed for 2,545 yards, with 19 TDs and seven interceptions. Austin Ekeler has been the leading rusher with 523 yards and five touchdowns, while only Justin Herbert and Justin Jackson have gained 100+ rushing yards. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams have combined for 1,306 yards in the receiving department, while Austin Ekeler and Jared Cook generated 300+ receiving yards each. Derwin James Jr. stands out on defense with 80 total tackles, while Joey Bosa logged a team-high 5.5 sacks.
Expected Line-Up (Offense): Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, Jalen Guyton, Jared Cook, Gabe Nabers, Rashawn Slater, Matt Feiler, Corey Linsley, Michael Schofield III, Storm Norton
Expected Line-Up (Defense): Christian Covington, Linval Joseph, Justin Jones, Kyler Fackrell, Nick Niemann, Kenneth Murray Jr., Uchenna Nwosu, Chris Harris Jr., Derwin James Jr., Tevaughn Campbell, Alohi Gilman

Pittsburgh Steelers – Can their unbeatable streak last for a little bit longer?
The Steelers had a disappointing start to the campaign, but they managed to raise the level of their performances. Pittsburgh tied four wins in a row before settling for a tie against the Lions, who showed the least during this season. The visitors missed the chance to improve their record, which stands at a 5-3-1, making them second in the AFC North. Despite gaining 386 yards in the offense, the Steelers made three turnovers and failed to celebrate again. However, the major trouble for Pittsburgh is Ben Roethlisberger’s absence, who will be out of the contest again.
Pittsburgh’s starting QB has gone 1,986 yards through the air so far, with ten touchdowns and four interceptions, while he has been sacked 18 times. Najee Harris has been the key player for the Steelers’ ground game with 646 rushing yards and four TDs, while no other player gained more than 60 rushing yards. Diontae Johnson leads the receiving corps with 613 yards and three scores, while Chase Claypool and Najee Harris have combined for 750 receiving yards and three touchdowns. On the other hand, Minkah Fitzpatrick has been the Steelers’ leading tackler with 64, while T.J. Watt sacked the rival quarterbacks 12.5 times.
Expected Line-Up (Offense): Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, Cody White, James Washington, Pat Freiermuth, Derek Watt, Dan Moore Jr., Kendrick Green, J.C. Hassenauer, B.J. Finney, Chukwuma Okorafor
Expected Line-Up (Defense): Chris Wormley, Isaiah Buggs, Cameron Heyward, Derrek Tuszka, Devin Bush, Joe Schobert, Alex Highsmith, Justin Layne, Terrell Edmunds, Tre Norwood, Cameron Sutton
Quarter Back: Mason Rudolph
Kicker: Chris Boswell
Expert Pick #1 – Los Angeles Chargers -5.5 @-110
Despite being pretty inconsistent lately, I believe the Chargers can see off their opponents in this contest. The visiotrs have their problems to solve, especially with the absence of their starting quarterback. I’m going to take the Chargers ATS as my first pick.
Expert Pick #2 – Under 47 @-105
The Steelers have been pretty disciplined in the back, allowing 20.5 points per game on average. On the other hand, their offense hasn’t been very impressive, while Mason Rudolph needs to jump in Big Ben’s boots. I don’t see this match being too efficient, and it should stay under a 47 margin, which is my second bet.
Expert Pick #3 – Chargers to win by 7-12 @+360
I’m taking a long shot for my third pick, as Los Angeles’ victory by a moderate margin could bring us excellent returns. The odds are pretty generous, and I’m backing the hosts to celebrate by seven to 12 points in this encounter.
