New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face each other in the NFL 2021 season Week 4. The home side lost to the Saints last weekend and heads to this game with a 1-2 record. The visitors also suffered a defeat last time, and they want to get back on the winning track.
New England already played twice at the home field, but they lost both matches. Another challenging task is ahead of them this Sunday as the defending champions come to town. Tampa Bay went to face Los Angeles Rams last weekend and got back home empty-handed. They want to bounce back with a win and record their first win on the road this season.
New England Patriots – Can they celebrate the first home victory?
The Patriots are at a 1-2 record, being second in the AFC East. They opened the season with a narrow 17-16 defeat against the Dolphins but made a break on the road to the Jets with a comfortable 25-6 win. However, New England was unsuccessful in its second match in front of the home crowd, as they failed to a 28-13 defeat against the Saints last weekend. They gave up a touchdown in each quarter, with Mac Jones throwing for 270 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.
Mac Jones hasn’t been too impressive so far, and he completed 67.5% of his passes against New Orleans. The Pats offense struggles this season, and the hosts are averaging only 18 points and 337 yards per game. On the other hand, their defense improved compared to the previous season, and they have been allowing 302 yards and 17 points per match on average. The Pats defense sacked opponents’ quarterback nine times in three contests while forcing the rivals to make five turnovers. However, most of those came in the clash with the Jets.
Expected Line-Up (Offense): Damien Harris, Nelson Agholor, Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, Hunter Henry, Jakob Johnson, Isaiah Wynn, Mike Onwenu, David Andrews, Shaq Mason, Justin Herron

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Will they improve their defense?
The defending champions opened the season with two straight victories before losing to the Rams in the previous round. They were better than the Cowboys in the season opener, while they also beat the Falcons in the next game. The Buccaneers offense is one of the best in the league, and Tom Brady pulls all the strings. This 44-year-old quarterback completes almost 70% of his passes and has thrown for 1,087 yards, which is the second-best record in the league. He also tops the stats list with ten scores.
The Bucs have power artillery in offense, with Chris Godwin, who generated 241 yards and two TDs, and Rob Gronkowski with four scores. On the other hand, the injuries in the secondary caused defensive issues for Tampa Bay. The front seven allowed only 63.7 rushing yards, being the best in the league, but they have also been allowing 338 yards in the air and 29.3 points per game on average.
Expected Line-Up (Offense): Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Tyler Johnson, Cameron Brate, Donovan Smith, Ali Marpet, Ryan Jensen, Alex Cappa, Tristan Wirfs
Expected Line-Up (Defense): Ndamukong Suh, Vita Vea, William Gholston, Anthony Nelson, Devin White, Lavonte David, Shaquil Barrett, Carlton Davis, Antoine Winfield Jr., Jordan Whitehead, Dee Delaney
Quarter Back: Tom Brady
Kicker: Ryan Succop
Expert Pick #1 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7 @-110
Last weekend, we saw that Tampa Bay can be vulnerable, but I expect them to bounce back with a victory here. They should get back on track and progress to a 3-1 record, and start climbing towards the top spot in NFC South. I’ll take them to win and cover the spread as my first pick.
Expert Pick #2 – Over 49.5 @-110
The defending champions are one of the best offensive forces in the league, but, on the other hand, they cannot be happy with their defending. The Pats should try to exploit that in front of the home crowd, and we should see an interesting matchup that should go over a 49.5 margin. I’m taking the Over as my second bet.
Expert Pick #3 – Buccaneers -3.5 & Over 40.5 @+115
I’ll combine the first two picks to generate some good odds for the third tip. The Bucs to win by at least four points and a total of 40.5 points in a match seems to be a reasonable choice, and I’ll go with it as a third pick.
