Los Angeles Rams will fly across the country to land to Philadelphia where they will take on the Eagles in one of the most exciting Week 2 fixtures. As odd as it may sound at this stage of the season, the stakes are pretty high ahead of the match-up whose outcome could play a pivotal role in the NFC standings at the end of the regulation. Although the two sides had identical records (9 wins and 7 losses) last time out, it was only Phila who reached the post-season thanks to the fact they featured a very modest NFC East division.

Philadelphia Eagles – Last Minute Squad Decisions Expected
The Eagles entered the opening day clash with division underdogs Washington Football Club as heavy favorites despite bountiful problems Doug Pederson had to deal with. The team’s offensive line was crippled with injuries of Andre Dillard and Brandon Brooks, while the right tackle Lane Johnson was also forced out just before the start. The consequence came in the shape of a horrendous performance from Carson Wentz and the rookie-packed offensive line that has failed to score more than 17 points in a devastating loss to Washington Football Club. It was a relatively strange defeat as the Eagles crumbled upon building a 17-0 lead on the occasion. They went on to give up 27 unanswered points in a highly disappointing loss.
Phila’s offensive line is going to have even more serious problems here against the Rams. Carson Wentz threw for just 270 yards against the likes of Washington. He was sacked as many as eight times on the occasion. This will be a major concern for Pedersen ahead of the clash with the Panthers, but we’ll speak more about it in the next paragraph. Several players are a game-time decision, but we can expect the team’s attacking line to miss several important figures once again. Wentz will have to deal it and find the way to learn when a play is dead. He just can’t afford eight sacks, and he will be under a much bigger pressure here. If you were thinking of a home win pick, pay attention to this significant parameter.

Los Angeles Rams – Taking the Points to LA?
The Rams featured the 2018 Super Bowl where they fell short to New England Patriots. They failed to register a post-season appearance in the following term and they entered the 2020 campaign on a low. Most experts predicted an even worse run for the team led by Sean McVay going into the season. They thus came into the Game 1 clash with the Cowboys as clear underdogs in the Sunday Night Football clash. However, the Rams shocked everyone who placed the Cowboys win pick mainly because of a fabulous defense on Ezekiel Elliott. Los Angeles held the Pro Bowler to fewer than 100 yards and the entire rushing attack of the Cowboys to no more than 136. The offense looked decent on the ground. If Jared Goff could only step up and improve the outfit’s passing game, McVay’s troops could go far this season.
Now' we'd like to go through one very important parameter, the one that could easily make this a Rams win. Aaron Donald produced an outstanding display on his debut last week against Dallas. He was the dominant defensive figure, not only in challenging the opposition's quarterback but in bull-rushing his way through Elliott as well. Philadelphia struggled badly against Washington (eight sacks on Wentz). Lane Johnson missed the game (could be absent for this one too), while Jason Peters was moved to left tackle. The conclusion - Donald was exceptional last week and he should have much more room to hurt the opposing defense this time around. With this in mind, the value is great at the away win pick at the +108 odds.
