New York Rangers will take on Florida Panthers in the NHL action on Monday evening. The home side wants to end its losing streak and get back to the winning track. The visitors look forward to continuing their dominance and will search for another victory.
New York cannot be satisfied with its latest performances, as the hosts tied three defeats in a row. They return home from a series of road games and will try to break that bad run. On the other hand, Florida celebrated twice in a row and wants to keep up where it left off. The away side has an excellent campaign, and they want to maintain a high level of performance.
New York Rangers – Can they break the losing streak?
The Rangers started their road series with a victory over the Kraken, but they failed to succeed in the following three matches. However, the hosts remained second in the Metropolitan Division with a 6-3-3 record, but they should search for improvement. New York heads to this match after suffering a heavy 6-0 defeat away to the Flames, which was their biggest loss this season. It’s needless to point out any statistical parameter from that game, as it was a very poor performance overall. During their losing run, the Rangers have allowed five goals per match on average.
Adam Fox leads the Rangers’ offense with 12 points, and he’s also been the leader in assists with a team-high ten. Chris Kreider has been the most efficient player with eight goals, while New York has scored 2.42 goals per match on average. On the other hand, Igor Shesterkin has been excellent between the pipes, with a .930 save percentage. The Rangers’ goalie has conceded 1.85 goals per game, and the team has a 5-2-2 record with him on the ice.
Expected Line-Up: Igor Shesterkin, Ryan Lindgren, Adam Fox, Barclay Goodrow, Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad

Florida Panthers – Will they book the third straight win?
The Panthers have been excellent so far in the season, as they are first in the Atlantic Division with a 10-0-1 record. They go to this match after two straight wins on the home ice. The only game they lost this season was the one against the Bruins, and it came after the penalty shootout. Florida is full of confidence after beating the Hurricanes 5-2 in the latest match and wants to continue the run. Anthony Duclair led the Panthers t a victory with two goals and assists, and Florida matches the best NHL start ever.
Duclair has been the most active player in Florida’s offense with 12 points, including a team-high eight goals. Jonathan Huberdeau leads the stats with assists, as he has logged nine so far in the season, while the Panthers have produced 4.18 goals per match. On the other hand, the Cats have allowed 2.10 goals per contest, and Sergei Bobrovsky has been excellent between the sticks. Florida went 6-0-0 with him on the goal, while Bobrovsky has a .948 save percentage, allowing only 1.72 goals per match. However, he might be unavailable for this encounter due to an injury
Expected Line-Up: Spencer Knight, MacKenzie Weegar, Aaron Ekblad, Anthony Duclair, Eetu Luostarinen, Carter Verhaeghe
Expert Pick #1 – Panthers to win (Inc. OT and Pen.) @-115
The Rangers have played only three home games so far, but they haven’t been too impressive. Florida is in a much better momentum, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue their victorious run. Therefore, I’ll back the Panthers in this matchup as my first pick.
Expert Pick #2 – Under 5.5 @-105
Although their first-choice goalie might not be available for this match, the Panthers have been very disciplined in defense. On the other hand, New York produces less than 2.50 goals per game, and that’s why I think this one should stay under a 5.5 margin. Florida’s last five road matches went under as well, and I’ll take it as my second bet.
Expert Pick #3 – Panthers & Under 6.5 @+190
As usual, my longer shot will be the Panthers and Under 6.5. I’ve taken a bit higher margin to increase the chances of winning, while the odds are still pretty generous. Give me this combo as the third pick.
