Expert Pick #1 – Estremadura to Win @-400
Since losing an amateur bout back in 2014, Achilles Estremadura has been on a tear. The Canadian fighter is currently unbeaten professionally, finishing 3 of his 7 wins via devastating KOs. He also possesses a lot of ring experience under his belt with ring experience spanning more than 11 years. His opponent on the night is Maheshate Maheshate, a promising mixed martial artist from China. The 21 year old sensation is on a 5-fight win streak coming into this one. A worthy opponent for Estremadura but ultimately bound to fall short as he is vastly outclassed in all departments. Our experts predict a convincing win for Achilles Estremadura.
Records: Achilles Estremadura 7-0-0| Maheshate Maheshate 5-1-0 Main Card – Lightweight (155lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
Expert Pick #2 – Lainesse to Win @+210
Two undefeated welterweights squaring off in the octagon is always a spectacle for MMA fans. Yohan Lainesse and Justin Burlinson are both certified knockout artists, boasting an impressive 11 finishes between them. Yohan Lainesse is by far the more complete and experienced fighter, and that would come in handy when dealing with Burlinson’s aggressive style and heavy pressure. Burlinson’s gameplan would see him try to force Lainesse’s back to the cage and set him up for a KO/TKO, or take him to the ground for the submission. Should he withstand the early barrage of blows, Lainesse’s great cardio and reach advantage would see him controlling the fight as the rounds wear on, and ultimately securing a hard fought victory.
Records: Yohan Lainesse 7-0-0| Justin Burlinson 6-0-0 Main Card – Welterweight (170lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
Expert Pick #3 – Ferreira to Win @-550
Erisson “Gato” Ferreira vs Lun Qui at flyweight is a fight to look out for. “Gato” has come to be known as a dangerous mixed martial artist who looks for the finish by any means necessary. Equally formidable on the feet and on the ground, the Brazilian has no obvious weaknesses in his game.
Add that to the fact that he has also faced and defeated better opponents than Lun Qui who has been known to crack under pressure, then this fight is pretty much heading Ferreira’s way. “Gato” takes the win on the night according to our experts.
Records: Ericsson Ferreira 10-1-0| Lun Qui 14-7-0 Main Card – Flyweight (125lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
