Expert Pick #1 – Kattar to win @-227

Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett are two of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC featherweight division. Kattar’s boxing especially is some of the best on display in the UFC. And the power of Josh Emmet is probably the most-feared for featherweights at the moment. As both fighters aim to challenge for the 145lbs title in the next 12 months or so, who comes out on top when they clash? Calvin Kattar has a record of three wins in his last five with one of those losses coming at the hands of “the best boxer in the UFC” and former champion Max Holloway. Emmett’s record of four wins in his last five is impressive. But considering the level of opponents, we can say Kattar has had the better run. Kattar has the height and reach advantage in this fight. This will be very significant as he’ll be able to control the fight at a distance and stay away from the fearsome KO power of Josh Emmet. Kattar also has significantly more experience on a main event stage than Emmett. The speed and variety of his attacks, and movement will prove too much for Josh Emmett on the night. Our experts predict a win for Calvin Kattar come Saturday, as he shows that he’s a class above fighters like Emmett, and he’ll definitely be challenging for the title soon. Records: Calvin Kattar 23-5-0 | Josh Emmett 17-2-0 Main Card – Featherweight (145lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 2:00 a.m. ET

Expert Pick #2 – Holland to win @-278

38-year old Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means continues to compete at a high level in the UFC when he takes on Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland in a welterweight clash this Saturday. Means comes into this fight having won four of his last five fights while Holland has won just two fights in that same period. However, Kevin Holland at 170 pounds poses a different threat than he did at middleweight. The 29-year old Holland has the advantages in height, reach and age in this fight. He is also arguably the better striker and the size advantage could see him impose on Tim Means throughout the fight. Tim Means is a pretty durable fighter that has a wealth of experience in grinding out fights for decision wins. Will he be able to do the same against Kevin Holland whose descent into the welterweight division was done in a bid to rediscover his lost momentum and confidence. His first showing against Alex Oliveira was a good one. And we expect that momentum to continue. Kevin Holland just has too much in his arsenal for Tim Means. Our experts predict a second consecutive win for Holland on the night. Records: Tim Means 32-12-1|Kevin Holland 22-7-0 Main Card – Welterweight (170lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 1:00 a.m. ET

Expert Pick #3 – Yanez to win @-333

Fast-rising bantamweight prospect Adrian Yanez takes on the far more experienced veteran Tony “Primetime” Kelley in a preliminary card clash this Saturday. Since winning a UFC contract in 2020’s contender series, Yanez has put together a run of four straight wins in the UFC. Kelley’s record in that time is also a commendable three wins in five. Both fighters have equal reach but Kelley edges it in terms of height. He represents a solid test for Adrian Yanez as he strives for a top 15 ranking.

Tony Kelley likes to keep a great pace in his fights. His forward movement will ask questions of Yanez’s own great distance control. Should Kelley try to take the fight to the ground, Yanez also has good enough takedown defense to prevent that. Adrian Yanez is also capable of delivering some heavy shots on the feet. His attacks to the body will do enough to slow down the forward pressure of Tony Kelley but not quite enough to put him away. Kelley’s durability and Yanez’s solid chin sets this up for an thoroughly enjoyable back and forth scrap. And our experts see the younger, more talented Yanez coming out on top in the end.

Records: Adrien Yanez 15-3-0|Tony Kelley 8-2-0 Preliminary Card – Bantamweight (135lbs) – Approx. Start Time: 11:00 p.m. ET
